Blue Cave on Bisevo island

Blue Cave, or Modra spilja, is located in Balun bay on the eastern side of the isle of Bisevo, not far from isle of Vis.

The cave has been open to visit since 1884, when an external entrance into the cave was made.

You can get into the Blue cave of the isle of Bisevo only by rowboat.

In the southern part of the cave, because of the elevation difference, you can see sunlight from the water of the sea.

The wonderful play of sunlight, which is reflected from the white bottom of the sea, creates enchanting blue light from under water, and the cave itself with silvery light.

The Blue cave is 3-20 m deep.

The cave is not deep, and this is why the cave is suitable for diving, to people of various levels of skill.

Entrance ticket prices to visit the Blue Cave

Depending on the season, the ideal moment to visit the Cave is between 9:00 and 13:00 in the morning.

In period from 01.07 to 31.08 ticket price is 50 kn (app.6,5 euro) for adults; 25 kn (app.3,2 euro) for children; for children to 6 years is free entrance

In period from from 01.04 to 30.06 & from 01.09 to 31.10 ticket price is 40 kn (app.5,2 euro) for adults ; 20 kn (app.2,6 euro) for children; for children to 6 years is free entrance
