How to get from Croatia to Slovenia?
From Croatia to Slovenia by car
Some of the options are quite budget, and would suit any wallet. In case if you’ve got a bit more luggage, or in case your company is made by more than 2 people, the most profitable way of travelling for you would be the car. If you are not travelling with the car, you can rent a car in international airports of Slovenia or in many hotels.
Zagreb and Ljubljana are only separated by 140 km, but the cultural difference is a lot bigger than that.

Ljubljana is a capital of Slovenia
Ljubljana is a capital and the largest city of Slovenia. Now, it might seem strange to call a city with a population of 256 people a “large” settlement. Yet, one must remember that the population of an entire country is 2 000 000 people!
The historical centre of Ljubljana is relatively small and is great for pedestrian walks. Cute, well-maintained, almost doll-like streets, the embankment, the old facades, the pavements, flower beds and gardens, ice-cream and sweets shops, street cafes under these neat canopies…. All these things are the face of Ljubljana.
My personal preference when it comes to picking the hotel is something rather close to the city centre, so that I can walk all the way to the main attractions of Ljubljana. That saves us a lot of money on transportation – one way to the centre, one way back to the hotel, and, of course, you get to save a lot of time and nerves.
While living in a centre or in a close proximity to it, we obtain a priceless possibility to walk with no worries till a very late evening. That always sounds so promising – taking a promenade through these quetening romantic streets, or simply spending an evening with a mug of beer at the embankment of Ljubljanica river.
I’ve been to Ljubljana three times… there’s something so peaceful about an atmosphere in this city
