One of the sights of Croatia is the isles! The coast of Croatia has as many as 1145 isles, out of which 651 isles of Croatia are uninhabited, 389 of the isles are rocks, 78 are reefs, and only 47 isles are inhabited and considered touristic.
The isles of Croatia attract more and more guests with their virgin nature and wonderful cozy sunny beaches.
Krk isle
Krk island and Cres island are the largest isles of Croatia and of the Adriatic sea. The area of the isle of Krk is 405 sq.meters.
Krk is located in Kvarner bay of Croatia and is connected to the mainland by a motor bridge — the Krk bridge — the length of which is 1430 meters.
Krk is famous for its resorts and wonderful beaches, as well as its many ancient architectural landmarks.
Cres island

Cres island and Krk island are the largest of the isles of the Adriatic sea. The isle of Cres is located in Kvarner bay and is connected with the isle of Losinj by a drawbridge (the width of the channel is 11 km). The area of the isle of Cres is 405 sq.m.
The guests of the isle of Cres are offered wonderful beaches, diving classes, sailing, fishing on the sea shore and on Lake Vransko, bike and boat rental service, football pitches, volleyball, golf and tennis courts.
The symbol of the isle of Cres is a rare bird that lives here — the griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), which is in the international list of endangered species.
Brac island

Island Brac is the largest island of the Dalmatian archipelago and the third largest island of the Adriatic sea. The area of the island is 395 sq.km. The isle has many pine woods, vineyards and olive groves. The nature of Brac is unique and virgin.
Here, the “white stone”, which was used, for example, in the finishing of the White House in Washington.
On the isle of Brac there is the famous beach of Croatia – Bol – Zlatni Rat – the trademark of Croatia, a beach that changes its shape.
Hvar island

Hvar isle is the longest island in the Adriatic sea. The area of the island is 300 sq.km. It is the island of grapes, olives, lavender and numerous springs.
The isle of Hvar holds the record for the number of sunny days and the abundance of natural coolness.
It was on Hvar that the oldest bas relief in Europe with the image of a ship was found, and it is here that the oldest public theatre in Europe, built in 1612, is found.
The wonderful climate and the enchanting nature have made the isle of Hvar the isle of elite rest in Croatia.
Ciovo island

Ciovo is island of the central part of the Adriatic coast of Croatia. The isle of Ciovo is part of the Trogir-Split riviera. The area of Ciovo is 29 sq.km.
The resort isle of Ciovo attracts its guests with its amazing landscapes of virgin nature, a large amount of vegetation, the crystal clear sea of the shoreline, absence of manufacturing facilities or multi-story buildings.
The developed touristic and entertainment infrastructure and the excellent small-pebbled beaches are for family rest.
Vis island

Mljet is an island of the southern part of the Adriatic coast of Croatia. The area of the isle is 100 sq.km.

The landscapes of the isle of Mljet are mentioned in the parables of St Paul and in the Feats of Odyssey.
Rab island

On the isle of Rab there is the most popular sandy family beach Rajska plaza, as well as the oldest and the most famous nudist beach opened by Prince Edward VII.
Brijuni islands

Brijuni islands — “heaven on Earth” — is a national nature park of Croatia located on 14 islands and is a place of elite natural rest and a natural and historical monument. The traces of the first settlements of people on the islands are dated 3000 BC, i.e., they date back to the Bronze Age.
There are also exotic animals from every corner of the world collected here, and there is an open safari park organised for the guests. The villa that belonged to the former Yugoslavian leader Joseph Brozo Tito is now also open for visits.
Thanks to the unforgettable scenery, the peculiar shoreline, the very rich history of the isles, the diversity of the flora and fauna, Brijuni is often called heaven on earth.
Island Murter

Murter isle is located in the Dalmatian part of the coast of Croatia — the Sibenik riviera. The area of the island is 19 sq.km.
The isle of Murter is famous as a touristic resort with a developed touristic infrastructure and cozy picturesque beaches.
To the west of the isle of Murter there are the Kornati islands national nature park of Croatia.
