Croatia, which preserves its traditions, is a cultured and a very musical country, where numerous music, theatre and other kinds of show take place every year.
During the year a lot of number of festivals, concerts, exhibitions and competitions are held in Croatia:
“Špancirfest” is the largest street festival of Northern Croatia.
In 2022 festival takes place for the 23 rd time takes place in historical center of one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia – Varaždin city from 19.8. to 28.8.2022.
21 January Saint Vinco’s day or best known as Vincekovo is the day of the year when wines and vineyards are blessed.
St.Vinco’s day marks the start of the winemaking year.
Saint Vinco is the patron saint of vineyards and winemakers.
“Beer Days” / “Dani Piva” is the biggest beer festival of Croatia which is going to take place from 26.08.22 to 30.08.22 It is going to take place for the 35th time in the beer capital of Croatia – Karlovac city.
Euro is going to be introduced in Croatia starting from the 1st of January 2023.
The introduction of the euro is going to mark the concluding stage of Croatia’s accession to the European Union.

11th of November is a Saint Martin’s Day / Martinje – a celebration of young wine, grapevine, and winemakers. That’s one of the happiest autumn celebrations in Croatia!
Every autumn in Livade town is hold 10-weekend festival “Days of Zigante Truffles”. Livade town is the well-known truffles centre.
Livade town is located next to Motovun town and Motovun forest on Istria peninsula, in distance 30 km from Porec city and 227 km from Zagreb city.

In many cities carnival processions with moving platforms, on which figures parodying local politicians and notable figures travel, are organised. The important events of the past year are also given satyrical performances.
Spring Events in Croatia:
Annual celebration of extreme sports Škraping on Pašman island is held every spring from 2006.
Škraping on Pašman is trekking on sharp island rocks for four categories from beginners – Jogging 6 km to professional athletes – Ultra-trail 45 km.
Summer events in Croatia:
Every Juny in the Croatian city of Tisno, not far from the resort of Sibenik, there is held the Suncebeat festival. Fans of electronic music from all over the world come together to one of the most beautiful areas of Dalmatia. Sound systems are installed right on the beach, and those who like dancing until sunrise can go to a nearby night club after the concerts.
September Events in Croatia:
The best fishermen of the world come to Jezera of Sibenik riviera for the Big Game Fishing competition, where they compete in big fish sport fishing.
The Big Game Fishing competition lasts a week, and throughout the week, everything takes place “under the sign of the fish”, and what is caught is eaten.

The main part of Carnival Fasnik Zagreb carnival is carnival procession of masked and costumed participants which move from central Zagreb square – Trg Bana Jelasica.
