St Nicholas Fortress is located in 11 km from Sibenik city.
That is the second most important attraction of the Sibenik, ranked as a UNESCO monument since 2017.
The fortress is built on the Ljuljevac island in the middle of 16th century, in the Saint Ante channel. Even though it’s original purpose was to defend the entrance to the channel from Turks, the fortress has never participated in any battles.
